Cooking Show

For this project we chose a Spanish food recipe and translated it to Spanish. After we did that we made our own cooking show and made the food we chose. I made gluten free chicken nachos because I have Celiac and wanted to eat what I made. The Nachos I made were actually very good and my family and I enjoyed them. 

Mi Frida

For this project we read a biography about Frida Kahlo. We also watched a movie about her as well. Frida Kahlo was an artist in the early 1900's. After reading the biography, we chose our own people to write about and paint. I chose to write about Martin Luther King Jr. I wrote about the major events of Kings life until his death. 

Calaveras Literaria

Our first project in Spanish 2 is the Calaveras Literaria. Calaveras Literarias are Spanish poems that are mainly satirical about a specific person. These poems tend to talk about a persons death even if they are still alive.  For my poem I wrote about Donald Trump. I talked about  how he has everything and then loses everything in his presidency. We then had to make an art piece corresponding with our poems. As seen below I did a depiction of Donald Trump as a skeleton.
